One weekend I was in need of something a little sweet so I whipped up these protein balls. They are super-easy. If you can’t get chocolate orange protein powder simply use chocolate protein powder and add some extra orange rind, and a drop of oil of orange. Simply put these ingredients in a blender with a strong motor:
150g date paste or dates
100g hazelnuts (or any other nuts you like)
1tbls chocolate orange protein powder
1tbls cacao powder
Grated rind of half an orange.
Whizz together until smooth (you may need a little water) or leave a bit crunchy if you prefer. Roll into walnut-size balls and roll the balls in cacao powder or crushed nuts. Chill in the fridge for a couple of hours.
